PROFESSIONAL PERFORMER
Learning how to embody and portray a character is a necessary skill for being a professional performer. But so is marketing, customer service, time management, sales, teamwork and negotiation.

What you can expect from this 4-day workshop:
- A clear and concise understanding of what an independent contractor is, what you are responsible for and your unique role in the world of children's party entertainment
- You will gain a newfound awareness for how to market and sell your services in order to increase your bookings and your job opportunities
- You will learn how to negotiate pay and build professional connections which will allow you to grow your business as a professional performer

DAY ONE
Professionalism
- You will learn the importance of your role as a performer. In the sense of how you relate to clients, fellow performers, and the admins of the business you are working for.
- You will learn exactly what an independent contractor is and the legal, ethical and tax obligations required by you as a self-employed worker.
- You will learn how to set your desired pay rate and negotiate pay raises within your employed agency.

DAY TWO
Customer Service
- Knowing how to handle difficult circumstances with clients is a necessary skill when working as a professional performer. In day two we will cover conflict resolution, harassment, and what to do when clients break your character authenticity.
- You will also learn how to substantially increase your tips, become a highly sought after performer, collect five star reviews, and increase your performance time and pay scale.

DAY THREE
Marketing
- Effective marketing and sales are the responsibility of the agency and the performance team. To ensure you are being booked frequently, you will be provided with an overview of how to market your services to corporate clients and parents on the behalf of your employed agency.
- You will learn how to form business collaborations and receive referral commissions as a source of passive income.

DAY FOUR
Performance
- Kids can be unpredictable and difficult to manage. On day four you will learn how to handle sticky situations. Such as feeling overwhelmed with having too many children to manage, children doubting your authenticity, children disrespecting your costume and/or wig, children being physically violent towards you or others, handling conflict within groups of children, and how to navigate performances where children are afraid of or refuse to interact with you.
